Two more Import Draft selections commit to CHL teams

The #5 and #8 selections in yesterday's Import Draft have committed to the OHL.

Nicklas Jensen sounds very ecstatic to be taken by Oshawa. A translated quote from the young Dane:
"It was perfect because I have family who live 30-40 miles from Oshawa, so it was exactly where I wanted to go. It was about to go wrong for me because Victoriaville, who had the sixth selection, began calling my like crazy in the days leading up to draft because they wanted me. But they play in the QMJHL, and I'd prefer not to, so I was simply forced to tell them that, if they drafted me I would not come over and so their draft choice would have been wasted. Kitchener called several times and their choice was between me and Tobias Rieder. I do not know if they could hear me that I wanted to Oshawa, for they selected Rieder."
Speaking of Kitchener and Rieder, the two have come to terms and it looks like the German will be a Ranger this fall. A translated quote from Rieder:
"Kitchener's impressive. It is a larger city, but the stadium and all the conditions in the OHL are already like our professional league." With respect to fellow German and soon-to-be Spitfire, Tom K├╝hnhackl: "this will have a funny feeling, but I'm looking forward to it."
